The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

We went to see the Kelpies and the Falkirk wheel yesterday, I can definitely recommend it as a day out.

One point to note: - When adding content to the description it seemed to add in line breaks OK but removed them on the saved version so it currently looks unformatted.

Can't get this description to save.

"Start in city centre and head towards the beach. If you take the long way round the harbour you get to start at the top of the beach and the charming old fishing village of Fittie (Footdee). Long stretch of the beach before crossing the road and running the riverside paths along Balgownie, past Hillhead halls and into the beautiful Seaton Park. The route then takes you into Old Aberdeen's lovely cobbled street and ancient university buildings of Kings College and Chapel. Short climb before heading back into town. Feel free to stop at Brewdog on the way past for a well earned ;)"

I saved a comment with a couple of diacriticals - the whole comment disappeared. More than once. ( Staré Město ).

All pics are my own, though generally not taken on the run whilst in progress.

If you like sharing routes, or if you like taking pictures whilst you're out and about, or possibly both, then give this a try...

You can now add a nice pic to each of your routes e.g. http://www.fetcheveryone.com/route-1705913 to show other runners just exactly how lovely your route is (or conversely, just what you have to put up with). If you make the route public, there's a handy URL for sharing, or a button that will do a Tweet for you. There's also a little voting panel, so you can vote up the ones you like the best (so we can hopefully generate a nice list of the most-loved routes).

I know that there are plenty more improvements to be made to the routes tool (particularly if you need to edit an existing route), and I'm working through some of those. I also intend to give you the opportunity to record times against each others routes, so you can do league tables if that's the sort of thing that floats your boat

More to come then, but I thought you might like to try the pictures.
