He tried to tell me the rules of other runs as we were running along. I just said that I wasn't entering into a discussion with them about what they did or didn't do at other runs. We don't allow it here - end of. As it turned out we caught up afterwards and had a nice friendly chat and all was resolved amicably and we moved on.

I see https://support.parkrun.com/hc/en-us/articles/200566293-Can-I-run-with-my-dog- which says "Please keep your dog under firm control at all times, either on a short lead or a harness with a short lead, and take extreme care to avoid tripping other runners." My reading is that the pertinent factor is the length of the lead.

Despite us announcing this in every pre run brief we inevitably gt a good amount of people who seem top think this rule doesn't apply to them!
