Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oh God, I suppose I’d better unload the dishwasher. It’s so hard to be me.

Today’s lesson is always read the manual.

I have a couple of cheap floating solar fountains in the pond to try and get some water circulation. They died a few weeks ago but are covered in snail eggs so I just left them. Today I realised that there are many more snail eggs in the pond so I could risk a few so I pulled the fountains out and gave them a clean up. Still not working. I was about to throw them in the bin when I came across the instructions that came with them that explain how to take it apart to clean the filter. It took less than a minute to do each one and now both both fountains are spurting happily.
Always read the instructions!

Glad it was easily sorted!

Have eaten. Roast lamb, new potatoes and veg. Too full for pudding but might have that later.

Great life lesson HB

We are now in transit north. Went for a walk earlier and I left my phone charging. Typically we saw a roe deer across the river prancing through the field, on way back not one but two otters! First time I’ve seen them at the river, Mr gg saw one circa 4yrs ago. Then a kingfisher flew along the tops of the reeds where the otters were. Lots of wildlife and no photographic evidence

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
