Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Spent almost all day hunting down some essential food staples for which I had to visit a multitude of shops 😱😱😱 the groceries I did manage to secure cost a small fortune. The quarter tank of petrol was £23 😱😱😱

I ended up tying in and pruning a climbing rose on the pergola in the nearly dark, to save it from the storm.
I did manage to repair the pleaching frame of my crab apples, to save them from the storm, in the fading light.
No other gardening was done

I hope I don't have to go to the shops for a very long time now! What a waste of time!

Half sitting half lying on the bed. We’re going next door shortly for cheese and wine so I really should get dressed. They’ve cancelled on us twice in the past few weeks and made a half-hearted stab at doing it again this eve (each time for perfectly acceptable reasons) but OH is having none of it. He misses socialising whereas I’m perfectly happy at home. They have v small children and get up early so I’ll be alert to making sure we don’t overstay our welcome.

Strictly. Eating biscuits. Apparently everyone else is also watching Strictly and not letting off fireworks, so the dog is on the sofa with me and not hiding in the bathroom like last night.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
