Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Exactly, Dipps. You're doing your best xxx.

My parcel is out for delivery. I am stop no.62, so I think I can risk going out for a short run.

My teens don’t eat breakfast and often no lunch. Some days they don’t eat till 4pm, hence the midnight noodle making
I need to take the car to the garage but undecided whether to have another coffee first. Feeling spectacularly unmotivated today

Been there, done that. 'You just need to be tougher on him'. Why would I choose to do something that actually distresses my child? Nope. Pressure off - it worked for me. I think being a 'pandering' parent has made me an excellent psychologist and I know the parents in my meetings appreciate a professional saying 'well maybe that isn't the right thing actually' when schools are putting pressure on them.

I have put some washing on and emptied the dishwasher.

(I got up to take a break from the screen and sitting, intending to do some yoga, but did the above instead.)

Tbh, I ‘pander’ to myself pretty much all the time (‘aww, Maz, do you want those biscuits in this week’s shop? You go for it. You want an over-priced take away coffee? No problem!’) But because I’m an adult (apparently) it’s called ‘self care’ and is encouraged.

I need a shower.

We did whatever it took to keep the children alive through difficult times, knowing that optimisation could wait. If that was pandering, I'm totally in favour.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
