Another +1 for Elbow and dreary Guy Garvey. I can't tell them from my arse.

Elbow and Doves two cheeks of the same arse. Elbow got a break (probably One Day like This getting used for Olympics etc) and went mainstream, Doves didn’t. Hence Elbow get the ‘too cool for school’ crowd carting them. Both are sort of ok, better than a lot of stuff but not exciting or groundbreaking. |

Clapton is a weird one. He was instrumental (no pun intended) in the promotion of Blues in the UK and even to mainstream (read white) American audiences in the sixties and was apparently good friends with a lot of the black Blues performers who's songs he covered and promoted, and who therefore benefited financially. Then he turned out to be a racist, and I really don't understand how one brain can hold both of those positions at the same time. I still think his work with Cream was exceptional but yes, he's an arsehole of the highest order and I don't want to hear anything he does or says any more. |

Missed this comment yesterday but you've put some context on to something I struggled to previously fully understand. |

I didn’t know that they were rated, let alone overrated.
