He’s 9kg at the moment which is definitely too heavy, but he’s a large cat and didn’t look fat at 8kg, we are convinced that he would be slim at 7kg. Today is the first day on the prescription ‘diet’ food. It comes with a palatability guarantee, no danger there, he practically inhaled the meagre third of a day’s ration I gave him. What we need is a guarantee it will fill him up. Half an hour later he was crying for more food so I gave him a bit more. That wasn’t enough so he got a tiny bit more. He still wants more. Oreo is very persistent and has a loud voice. This is going to be very wearing.

A lot of cats loose weight on raw... they tend to eat less as what they do have is more satisfying. Most of the kibble has grain which are of no use for cats and just a cheap filler.
