That's good that you felt it was helpful today. Tears are all part of the process so never be embarrassed. X

I’m glad you haven’t just been referred for CBT which is all I’ve ever been offered. I’ve tried it, 3 times now, and it just doesn’t do it for me. Hope the referral comes through quickly for you. |

In my news, i've had 3 counselling sessions over the last 3 weeks, brought on by some struggles at work, and a particularly difficult manager. I have another 3 sessions booked, but i can see i'm going to want more because it has been so helpful. It turns out we have spent maybe 85% of the time talking about my Dad and his passing last year, which she (my counsellor) feels is underpinning other issues. I've cried in all 3 sessions so far, and there is still a big thing i need to address, so suspect the tears aren't done yet. It's been a really positive experience for me, and i can feel i am benefitting from it greatly. Hopefully once we have my Dad passing issues resolved, it will help with the head and work issues and we can get those sorted out quickly. It's taken me too long to get to this stage and talk to somebody, i wish i'd done it sooner. |

Got next nurse appt today. Not sure how I feel about it. Some dread or at least trepidation. I've been doing my practices - box breathing , Daylight app relaxation, thought challenges etc. Thought I was feeling a bit more positive. But last night... Lashed out somewhat at missus, completely unreasonably and rudely about nothing. And she was unwell (heart problems) and I reacted coldly and unsympathetic. I feel bad about these. |

I had my fourth session last Friday and managed to talk about the last remaining thing i needed to get out, it was very cathartic, and there were no tears which i took as a positive.
