Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Let's talk about inaugural parkruns after they've happened.

Some friends went but haven't reported back yet (I suspect they will have found a pub somewhere en route back to the shire ;-))

680 according to someone I know who was there. That's an insane number for an inaugural. Poor things.

Yes they only had circa 450 tokens so had to write and input to the system by hand over 200 parkrunners details

Blindcider, looking at numbers I think Ashton Court was down by 100 odd on usual numbers as well as Pomprey Hill - 679 for an inaugural is nuts!

I hope this prompts some thought by the powers that be, because having 679 show up at an inaugural - whilst undoubtedly cockle-warming - is not a sustainable way to bring new events into the world.

Totally agree Grid - not sure how you can police it though.

About This Thread

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
