The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. I heard this morning that funding has been dropped for the proposed Croydon Arena parkrun in South Norwood Country Park. This run definately won't be starting in the next 6 months but may still happen. Apparently there has been a change in personnel at Croydon Council & they have decided to put the money towards other projects for now.

One for sometime May onwards: Plean parkrun in Central Scotland. Another which could be Country Park parkrun.

Will be Stirling's nearest (about five miles away). And my nearest.

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
