Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

As the owner of a North facing, low lying garden, it will be a few weeks yet before we venture down the steps and scrape the ice off the washing line

I put a load on the line on Saturday because it was so bright and sunny. Still a bit too cold and there was no wind so it didn't really dry properly. A few more weeks here too I think!

Another load hanging on the line. There's more of a breeze today so I'm hopeful it will all dry. Last time the thicker clothes needed to go on the radiator after I took it in.

Terminology: 'Fluffing' -- Going out and runninng your hands over the washing just to feel whether still moist. Sometimes not needed but we all like to fluff

'Melvyn' - where you run you fingers through your washing, you think it's damp but you're not sure. It could be dry. You leave out or take in? you've done a Melvyn'.

Also for sharing photos of 'Extreme pegging'. Plastic or wooden they are all embraced here :)
