Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Apologies if this has been asked a million times but what is everyone's preferred method to find out about gigs? Signing up to all your favourite bands mailing lists/social media? Or various ticketing sites/venues mailing lists/social media? or perhaps an app that does it all ie venue/band/location etc?

Songkick app is a good option as long as you tell it which artists to follow

I generally find out about gig dates through Facebook updates.

Enjoy The Prodigy, NSC. I haven't seen them live since Keef passed, but hear they are still a great night out.

Death Cult for me last night at Norwich Uni, Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy playing the early stuff only (so thankfully no Edie (Ciao Baby)!)

Roadies smudging the stage with incense and sage before the band went on drew comments fearing the sprinklers would go off and hairdos get subsequently ruined, and Ian had his shades on indoors for the first part, but then it's The Cult, you have to let them off šŸ˜‰

Great set, Ian was the consummate front man and Billy Duffy with that gorgeous low slung white Gretsch was just brilliant...such a wall of noise from just one guitarist.

That sounds really good TomTom. Wish I’d gone, saw the gig listed and lazily assumed it would be a tired nostalgia show. Ooops!

It was nostalgic in that they only played the SDC, Death Cult and early Cult material I suppose TRO, but I found it more of a celebration (and it also showed just how well a lot of those songs still hold up today).

Just been for a look around BIMM in Manchester with my youngest kid looking at doing Music business and Event management. One of those moments when you think "wtf am I doing with my life whilst all this amazing stuff is happening".

Billy went to a place like that but sadly Covid messed it up. My nephew went to BIMM in Dublin.
