Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

getting ready too early - just me?

When out for a walk from home and I turn onto my road on the homeward leg, I get my keys out of my pocket with the right key selected when still 1/10th of a mile from my door. Every time.

Your turn.

Probably slightly nearer to home but certainly while I'm still walking up the road.

Nope, I get my key from my pocket once I get to my door. When at work though, I have my fob to go through doors ready way in advance whilst within the building.

I have an electric garage door (sounds fancier than it is!) and I always grab the remote way too early! Normally, two junctions too early, then it's in the way of me using the indicator.

Probably one of two types of people this.
I definitely do that, in every single way i can think of.
Always thinking ahead and see what i can prepare or complete.

And the there an other kind of people, that does the exact opposite.
Always wait until they really have to do something, to be able to take the next step.

(i mean, maybe one don't have to do it, if one waits long enough)

These two kinds of people doesn't play together very well :)

I get my keys out, 100 yards from the front door, stop, fiddle about, pick a key, stop, check again, try and get in the front door, sometimes fail because I picked the wrong key.

It's odd. All the French Windows and internal doors have coloured stickers on. The front door and porch don't so it's 50/50. I should sort it out, been 8 years since we moved in.

My granny used to get her door keys out of her handbag and held ready in her hand when she left our house and got in the car to go home.

The drive was an hour and a half..
