Whether it's good value or not really depends on the level of accomodation and food and whatnot

the 120 isn't just for accommodation, it's loads of stuff - any racing, any teaching, entertainment, social events, a certain amount of food/beverage.
to be honest, I would think that the accommodation is not the bulk of the cost. so whilst there would be some saving by camping..... not a huge amount and you would still have to get yourself to and from where everyone else is for the social aspects and suchlike.
completely understand that not everyone has 120 quid they can just blow on a weekend on a whim but I am a little frustrated on JJ's behalf at the suggestions that it is overpriced (or maybe that is just how I am interpreting some of the comments. not aimed at anyone in particular).
maybe a solution is for one or two of the people who would like to reduce the financial burden to speak to JJ to get exact locations and plans so far and then research alternatives that would work alongside the current plans.

Not suggesting it was overpriced Stumpy, but good ideas there. I was assuming that a big portion of that was accommodation.
