Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The Kent Roadrunner Marathon [last week] gave finishers a bottle of Old Dairy Gold Top. It's a golden pale ale, not a pink of milk! A simple ale and enjoyable on a warm evening. I probably would not order one but it was certainly a nice touch from TZ and the sponsor.

Meantime Pale Ale is becoming a favourite.

Tried the Einstok White Ale which was different, but not unpleasant, similar but not quite as tasty as Brewdogs Dead Pony Club.

I'm a big fan of Sharps brewery in Cornwall, probably most famous for "DoomBar". However, my personal favourite is the "Atlantic Pale Ale". Lovely and hoppy, with a hint of sea salt, and a lot of bark with it's bite!

I have to agree with you there PO. I don't see it very often around these parts though.

I helped out at Crawley Beer & Cider Festival last Friday evening.

Had a busy few hours pouring beer for the punters, plus plenty of time to sample the brews.

Agree with PO and NC, but I particularly like Sharps Wolf Rock Red IPA.

Had a very nice pint of Happy Chappy from the Cromarty Beer Co post run last night. Next up I'll be conducting some seriously northern beer research: I'm on Orkney this weekend then visiting the Valhalla Brewery on Unst, Shetland next.

Not a huge fan of big supermarkets but in the busy life they certainly serve a purpose. When we do an online shop I usually buy a good few ales as tesco always seem to have a 3 for £5 offer on, including sharps doombar, wolf rock, as Atlantic. Just a wee pointer for those looking for a decent bargain.
