Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Just sat and watched a female blackbird 'sunning' on the table outside my patio doors for about 10 minutes. I've been putting seed on the table every day and old shallow ceramic oven dish as a bird bath. At one point she got in the dish to cool her feet while still sunning :-)
It's made my day!

Heard cuckoos in a couple of places nearby recently. Might have to sacrifice a daily run for a bins walk at some point!

Hhppy to report that Mummy Duck still has a full compliment of little ones :)

For a while now I 've had a lone Greenfinch that turns up irregularly with the Goldfinches. This morning a pair turned up. So I'm hoping my regular has pulled. Would be good to know they are re-establishing themselves round here.

Nothing in the UK.

I saw one of the barn swallows having a preen on the telegraph wire this morning. I haven't seen any swifts yet but I'm on the lookout.
