Do you have no where to hang feeders Flanker? My 'garden' is a small patio no more than 20ft by 10ft. 15 minutes in I've had seven species and several regulars haven't appeared yet. Shame it isn't a couple of days ago though when we had the frost, air traffic control was working flat out then!

Ended up with ten species including a family of 5 LTTs, always a pleasure to see but no sign of Donald the rather orange and small brained Pheasant today

Flanker - you would amaze the birdwatch peeps by sheer volume of jackdaws π
Go and sit by the canal in prime dipper spot π

I predict Blackbird, Dunnock, Robin and Sparrow for our birdwatch. Anything else will be a bonus.

Pigeon too dave, we should get a pigeon. And at least one black headed gull.
Iβll be happy if the blackbird shows up.
I could talk to you to say this.... you are actually in the same room as me ππ

ff - we have plenty of space and plenty of plans for feeders. But we've only just moved in, so other things have taken priority over sorting out the patio/terrace. Buying beds, kitchen bins, washing machine, boring stuff like that!
We've put a couple of fat balls up in the tree outside the kitchen window though and already tempted in bluetits, great tits, robin and blackbird

Kinky I can fully understand the bed being a high priority but kitchen bin!
Seriously though, sounds like you've made a good start. You should do the survey at your place this year and use it as a baseline for the future

Birdwatch was looking like another anticlimax... what with the howling wind rattling everything and the ubiquitous pigeons.
Pleased to report I felt saved in the closing minutes by an appearance from one if the regular jackdaws followed by the lesser spotted π wren ππ

You can't report wrens, otherwise you'll have people logging harpies, griffins, and pheonix
