A good lesson in our due process for May. Let's hope she sticks by boring stuff like rules and laws in future.

I just find it now all thoroughly depressing. Membership of the EU matters so much to so many people, its such a serious issue and we have this utter farce going on.

But, there are good reasons why the MPs might vote it out. Small cabale of 10 pro EU Tory mps vote against, Lab/Lib Dem everyone else vote against, govt resigns, calls a general election... Corbyn massacred. Govt returned with 140+ majority.

It's not game playing, the person playing a game was, and is, May.

Surely the Tories have done sufficient damage to persuade folks that we can't let this shower of shite stay at the helm for much longer?

They are all game playing - what is actually beneficial to the country and the people in it are, and always will be, secondary to party politics and what it takes for MP's to gain power, keep power and regain it once lost. They say what they need to and do what they need to to achieve these aims whether its actually in our benefit or not.

But the only reason we're in this shit pit is because of a Tory desire to grab power. I'm sure most staunch Brexit Tories could be persuaded that it's worth letting it go for the better good of a massive mandate to (spread the most toxic of their ideology/reduce the influence of the state in daily life) with impunity.

Farage warns we are 'in danger of heading for a half Brexit' where we maintain membership of the single market.

Isn't that a sensible path given the vote was 52% to 48% to 'leave'?
