The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Jam, with icing sugar dusting rather than caster sugar for preference (cinnamon sugar though eh? there's an idea!) Churros with choc Apple Jam with cream too...
(I work at Waitrose, and my last boss used to go to Morrisons for doughnut day... extensive market research, honest )
Another vote for hot donuts from a seaside kiosk. I can remember getting a bag of them in Tenby to eat on the drive home but they had so much sugar falling off them that I had to pull over and we ate them on the pavement, they were glorious. A perfect end to a fab day out. Also, triple chocolate donut from Greggs.....
Salted caramel doughnuts from Two Magpies at Aldeburgh Rhubarb doughnuts from Pump St Bakery or even better a Gibassier with hot chocolate Churros with ice cream and chocolate sauce
Fresh ring doughnut from the stand at the end of the promenade at Hunstanton, with coffee from the italian stand down the prom. Preferably cycled there. Followed by pistachio ice cream from East Coast.
Exhibit A: Pump St doughnut, financier and palmier
