Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Today is the only time I’ve got a puzzle right without any wrong moves or hints! However I think that’s because it’s relatively easy rather than because I’m getting better 😂

I’d say today’s daily puzzle is one of the easiest yet - all forcing moves & no tricks (unless I’ve suddenly become a puzzle genius which I doubt).

So I think Rc7. If black takes with R it leaves M1, with Q M2. If black doesn't take that's no good either, lol.

Hmm - Rh7, Qf7, Qg7 looks good to me unless I've missed something.

That sounds better than mine as I missed the knight covering f6.

simbil has it. A bit surprising to me that my opponent missed it but they were under a lot of pressure and their best option was a losing endgame anyway.

The last few that I've done have certainly been more obvious (although I've never got them right first time - the lack of peril means I try moves with abandon!)
