Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That other tower in Croydon is worse. It makes me feel physically sick to look at it.

Here it is in the Telegraph's list of the ugliest buildings:

+1 for Gloucester Bus station. For quite a few years I worked in the offices on top of the multi-storey car park alongside. I *had* to concentrate on my work as the view from the window offered no distraction at all.

I propose The Tower, Meridian Quay at Swansea Marina. aspaceinthecity.co.uk Totally out of scale and unsympathetic to the rest of the area, and has caused the road along the bottom to become a dreadful wind tunnel, but hey! it's apparently the tallest building in Wales so that's all that matters. Talk about my willy's bigger than yours syndrome :-(

Preston bus station was the original subject of an ongoing prank that me and a friend have kept going for more than 30 years. The recent renovation has smartened it up somewhat.

Do you know what, I actually like most of those buildings in the Telegraph list. The worst are The Westfield rectangle and the bizarre St Georges Wharf

Cumbernauld. There are some beautiful places nearby such as the Glen, and the Spirit of something statue, but the town itself. What were its designers on?

Blaenau Ffestiniog, surrounded by beauty, but the town itself is a run down ex mining town.

Close up, Saffron Square isn't too bad. It probably looks a lot worse from a distance. My workplace often has people saying, "What's that red building over there?"

Mersey Ferry terminal, Pier Head, Liverpool. Little straight thinking amongst the straightjacket of ill-defined lines.
