Thanks Kwala I went out looking for a dog who is missing in our area I ended off doing a little bit of a run, only 1/2m or so but I was wearing doc martins and jeans. No sign of the dog though.
I think I’ll treadmill next week if the weather is as cold as it’s forecast.
Just found an Ultra (70km) with a descent from start to finish.... seriously seriously tempted but it’s only 8 weeks away so maybe one for next year.

Whooo hooo been out for a run :):):)
I’m still loaded with cold but better than last week but it did me good if only for the soul. I set myself off for a mile or two ended off with 3. When I went out I asked myself if I had to run for 6hrs how would I feel. I figured I’d do it. It can’t be much worse a week of cold, a long day at work and a banging head and on the day I’ll be (hopefully) rested and fuelled so feeling much better about it.
Anyway I did a run over the fells it was pitch black and it certainly made me run faster haha. Overall enjoyed and it’s put a spring in my step.

I did my planned 14 miles on Sunday and have another 6 planned for tonight but may depend on how much snow we have between now and then!!

Did you make it out Hally? I was sorely tempted but being sensible hopefully I’ll get out tomorrow night (or if I’m working from home I may take an extended lunch break and go during the day)

Went for a long run on Sunday, 16.5 miles up the coast to Bosham station near Chichester, with the intention of getting the train back... Only to find out there were no trains running but instead a bus replacememt service! Half an hour wait in the cold in shorts and t-shirt wasn't ideal, but it did give me an idea; my final three long runs before the London Marathon will start at which ever station the last one finsihed at, until I reach Brighton. After that it'll be tapering for the big day!

I’m feeling vaguely better finally i can almost breath and my coughs a bit better. Was supposed to be in Bristol today but cancelled due to weather tons of snow here. Snow day as couldn’t get to the office, I will get out this weekend somehow.

I didn't go in the end, might sound daft but there wasn't enough snow!! Just enough to make everywhere slippy but not enough to get any grip so didn't want to risk an injury!
Had quite a bit today so may give it a go tonight.

Just been out for a run when I thought there was an interlude in the snow. Oh no less than 1/2m in it started driving into my face - great! Into the woods the snow was behind me and it was sheltered and fabulous. Into the fells a lot was fresh snow very few people have been up and they’ve stuck to the pre walked paths... not me!! Calf deep snow and so much fun (if not leg shredding)
Onto the most exposed area in time for turning round into a full on blizzard. I’m not small and I struggled to move forward and driving heavy snow - joy. But you know I loved it.
4miles done and planning the next one!!

Another 3.2m done this time through the woods. Cracking run and it has really lifted my spirits running in such an amazing snowy environment. 3-4 planned for tomorrow, I figure running in the snow is harder than dry trails so the miles have to be worth more for my marathon training hahah (I can hope anyway)
