Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Update, there's been a holiday and a test match! I was lucky enough to find an excellent pub in Oxfordshire, The Bell Lower Heyford, very good beers indeed, plus some very good cans.

Cans

Arm Bar, Pale Ale,3.8%, Marble Beers, very good indeed.
Spur, NEIPA, 7.2%, Polly's Brew, Excellent.
Ever Since I was a Lower Case G, Pale Ale, 4.8%, Ponoma (Ponoma do any number of American Hazy Pale Ales, all good, all on a hopp theme)
Baby Jane's In Acapulco, Pale, 5.1%, Ponoma Island

Cask

Hobgoblin IPA, 5.%, Wychwood
White Horse Bitter, 3.7%, White Horse, great.
Best Bitter, 3.9%, Listers, best beer in ages.
Summertime, Golden, 4%, Listers, excellent
Atlantic, Pale, 4.2%, pale, Sharp's, not bad at all
Gale's Seafarer's ale, Bitter, 3.6%, Fuller's, shite, I think really badly kept.
Cell COunt, Pale, 4.5%, Tap Social Movement, very good indeed.
Let the Dragon See the Wolf, Golden, 4.5%, Oxford brewery, very good
Headless, Pale .9%, Redwillow, not as good as I remember
Jester Brew 6, Mango IPA, 5%, Goffs, very nearly great.

Draft
Morretti, Lager, 4.6%, Hot day.

Bottle

The hopping Hare, Pale Ale, 4% Badger, some sort of revamp.
Ghost SHip, Pale, 4.5%, Adnams, always good.
ESB, Strong Bitter, 5.8%, Runaway Brewery, very good bottle indeed.

101, 8 Keg, 26 Cans, 50 Cask! YAY!, 17 bottles, housekeeping laters

Now in Ludlow for a couple of days so
Hobson twisted spire a 3.8% golden ale
Ludlow brewery Golden ale
Both on draft and both excellent
Two Aldi cans from the Great british brewery. I cannot find who brews these for Aldi.

British Lager which was drinkable
Session IPA wouldn’t buy that again.

About This Thread

Maintained by Ocelot Spleens
and here we are in 2025....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise, besides it's quality I prefer not volume.

Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2025, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.

Also interesting to see how variable local areas are!
