Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

How nice that your weekend was "up there" on all counts gg. The hills in Wales are perfect for a different kind of training... I'm only twenty miles away from them but stick to the flat coastal areas!!

I slept a lot yesterday and feel considerably better but not "right" yet. Doing 5k in the fresher morning with torey wasn't too bad although I note she's catching me on the leaderboard. In house competition!!

Glad you found today a bit easier steve and hope you are better soon.

apparently my dad isnt too well (mam tells me all kinds of crap about people I dont know but fails to keep me updated with my dad's health grr) sounds like an iron & B12 deficiency and a chest infection to boot. He's at the docs today.

Wales was fabulous, I would adore that kind of terrain on my doorstep, I can get to some better trails in Northumberland but its a good 1.5-2hr trip each way and with my crazy life its just an added layer to add in, when I could do a good solid 3hr run locally. One day... (hopefully after May next year!!)

Out for some miles this morning, clocked up 6 with a 10min warm up and 10 x 30/30 intervals - starting to add these back in which will hopefully help my fitness which is still sitting happily on the sofa.

Anyway work in calling, just had a little tea break and big screen break.

I'm glad that you are feeling better today Steve, and well done for this mornings 5k with Torey.

I'm sorry to hear that your dad isn't too well GG, and hope that the doctor can 'sort him out'.

Well done for this mornings 6 miles including an interval session. I read your report, some impressive efforts!

The usual Tuesday Farmers Walk this morning, and then a drive into the village for a 'go faster haircut'.👴

Sorry I haven't posted much recently but I have been busy with work and holidays. Our schools finished at the beginning of the month so trying to juggle it all.

Hope your dad gets better soon GG. Sounds like you had a great trip.

There has been some great running going on, well done all.

It's been pretty hot up here it was over 30 degrees on Saturday, records were broken in Aviemore recording their highest temperature.

I was out running last week and did parkrun on Saturday. It has been pretty hot but the calf has been fine - so hopefully it is nothing too serious. Going out later so will see how it goes. Been doing some walking etc on the days I am off, been to the beach more than anything and the wee man turned 6 yesterday.

Happy 6th birthday weeC! I hope he had the best day.

Glad the calf is behaving. It was 31 apparently in Wales all I know is I’m a cactus and I found it hot, esp in the 6ft+ ferns.

Hope the haircut helps your parkrun efforts hs!

Thanks for dad well wishes. Hope he’s better soon too.

Thanks GG. My barber did give me a 'faster than usual' haircut. I'll see how effective it is for tomorrows hilly circuits😏

Sorry to hear about your dad GG but glad Wales was so lovely.

Did 17k yesterday running back from an epic Test at Lords. Less than 30k behind plan now...
