Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That’s a bit chilly Jack, when I left for work just after 4am it was 25 degrees!

Still sticking with short runs and trying to beat the heat.

Thanks gg. Yeah, have kept going regardless of any chance of becoming "fit' again and because it's"just what I do". As Jack said your fitness should return naturally. You're doing well in a period of what really is on going rehabilitation of that foot.
Super forest runs hs, glad the niggle has disappeared. Hard ground and chilly wind is the same here.
Good park run again Donnie1 . Brr to 2c JackFW! Thank goodness our cold days like that are long over!
"Lights out" were ok at the end of race distances in my early thirties but as you say not recommended now.

Passed the 500 mark this morning so pleased with that after 4.3 miles with torey. I'm in a cycle of struggling yet again but which seems typical of long COVID. Should pass..........!!

JackFW, the New Forest dates back to the reign of Henry V111. He used to hunt the deer. There are still deer in the forest, but thankfully no longer hunted.

Well done for your 10k before work.

Thanks Steve, yes the niggle appears to have disappeared.

Well done for this mornings 4.3 miles, taking you past the 500 mile mark.

This morning was a 7 miles forest run with Mike.

Jack: Seem to recall you have a marathon approaching? Possibly Sydney. Hope the training is going well.

Steve: absolutely admire your fortitude with the long covid. Keep enjoying running and lets to honest, none of us are winning any prizes, its purely for health and happiness.

4 miles yesterday. Had a tooth extracted on Friday and its still sore which isn't great! We're also having a new roof on the house, going well but its all rather stressful - I'm obsessed more that normal with the weather forecast which is saying something for someone whose main interests are cricket, gardening and running.

Steve well done for passing 500

HS my grandparents lived in Verwood, the last time I ran in the forest there was 1997 when I was over for my Grandmothers funeral.

Donnie a new roof isn’t cheap, had to pay for one 2 years ago on my place at home.

Having been up before 4am and heading out this evening for drinks I haven’t had the motivation to run today, also given it’s currently 40 degrees.

Got something to say?
