It may be worth Brathay asking people to pledge to make up the minimum target personally if they fall short as a condition of being admitted to the 10-in-10 club. If there's no way of enforcing the sponsorship requirement, people are maybe less likely to pull out all the stops to raise the money - although many people do put a huge amount of effort into the fundraising and some individuals have done phenomenally well.
We worked quite hard at raising money, but what we actually raised mostly wasn't a result of that hard work but was due to the generosity of relatives and Fetchies.

to be honest i had presumed that if you did fall short then you would have to sort out the shortfall.

I have to say that the fundraising was something that I thought long and hard about.
My OH assured me he would support me and I am hoping my running club are going to as well. As a club we are working hard to raise our profile so members doing things a bit out of the ordinary can only be good for it.
Also encouraging is the fact that last year when I did IM people offered sponsorship even though I wasnt raising money for anything so I ended up collecting a bit for the Parkinsons society.

I wouldn't count on people not having been a little bit cheeky, Marcusuno

i started using mine again about 6 weeks ago. Man is it hard to keep the HR down to zone 2 while running, My biggest concern is going to be what i do with gus for the 10 days next May. he has run/walked atleast twice a day with me since he moved in.
