Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sorry about the race withdrawal torey hubby may be pleased but disappointing for yourself. I hope the pain isn't too bad.

Thanks everyone. It's been a frustrating couple of years since the new hip. It's not the hip itself Ness but, according to physio it's because the rest of the bits and pieces in the affected leg haven't been able to adapt to the inevitable changed gait etc. And nerve pain too because everything is pulled all over the place during the operation.
Still it's great to be running and well up on the old man's miles FF though I'm not doing much this week!

Can understand that, torey. Because my was so stiff prior to the op in 2003 (and the degeneration in the joint meant I had a 2.5cm difference in leg length prior to the op), I'd developed a tendency to 'throw the leg' in a strange rotation as part of my walking gait. It took a lot of physio to get rid of that habit. I didn't have the same issue with nerve damage on top of that though. It sounds so unpleasant. I hope something can be done to help relieve that discomfort for you. x

Well done, FF. 👍

I haven't checked for a while but I think I'm ahead of the target mileage.

Ooh that's good news. Thanks, Cheeky's Dad. I didn't think I'd be that far ahead after my calf niggles. You're doing well too. 👍😁

Yeah, I had caught up while your calf was misbehaving but you’ve pulled away again now 😁
