Forgot to log in yesterday so can I add my belated congratulations to @neilypops1982 & @HellsBells

I had a successful run at the Chester HM on Sunday - a PB and met @ishep at the start. He also got a SB so a successful morning all round for FERC (there was a 3rd FERC finisher too but unfortunately I don’t know his user name otherwise I’d name check him too 😁)

Congrats to all who ran on the weekend - looks like quite a few did!

Another long run under my belt today, making me feel like I could be half-marathon ready, which is good seeing as there's less than 3 weeks to go now. Hoping to test my pace at a parkrun on Saturday.

Thanks for the mention*, @Cheeky’s Dad , and for the subsquent congrats, all - I was very happy to just sneak in (by 4 seconds!) under my target of 1:45, which I had come to think was probably a bit ambitious with the all the training I hadn't done! A week after turning 50, too, so doubly pleasing for that to be my first race in the new age cat :)

*particularly because it's given me reason to come back and post in here for the first time in a couple of years, breaking the weird mental block I had developed for doing so. Nothing anyone had said or anything, but I was going through some stuff at the time, and the unread posts count built up and up, and for some reason it just stopped me coming back. Anyway... I shall try not to be a stranger; just maybe a bit strange ;)

Thanks everyone! Leeds marathon was brutal, hot & hilly. I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with a 20 minute PB though. Still chasing the sub 5 dream. Maybe next year!
