Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.
The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Pewsey Vale Half Marathon. God this was ugly. Deliberately chose to run untapered and tired, but didn't expect it to go quite this badly.
The course was tougher than anticipated and conditions were pretty warm.
Ran with a group of 3 others for the first 8 miles or so, each sharing the work and generally going well. I was definitely beginning to tire while a lot of them were taking it a bit easy so was hoping to stick with them until 10 miles when I guessed they'd offski.
Didn't make it that far as at about 7.5 miles there was a water station, very sharp turn and climb in succession. This was to be my only drink of the race, but we nearly overshot the corner so I lost most of the water and got a stitch from the rest. Pretty quickly I was off the back of the group who were picking up pace and basically struggling.
At 10-11 miles there were several climbs and these finished me off. I hadn't quite clocked how much I'd slowed but definitely felt like I was crawling. At 12.5 miles I was passed by another runner and had no motivation to go with him, still suffering from the stitch.
Picked it up a bit to make sure I was under 1:23 but not the best finish to a race...
7th.

That is a much more positive spin. I like it!
Any yes, Team Borange are back on the running and hoping to hit the Autumn hard. Fingers crossed..
