Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.
The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Cambs Champs - 15th. 35:43. Worst run ever in county champs. Hopefully can put it down to having a cold or twisting ankle on second lap. Just 24s behind John (1:30 ahead of me) and level with Noel Carroll (50s ahead of me) after two laps but then drifted back when I'd normally pick up the pace.

Thought I saw you limping after race, hope it is ok now
The ankle probably caused a loss of power and affected your proprioception. Hope it's only a niggle though
Have to be very careful hobbling about on it. It's not looking good for 110 miles next week!
hope it is ok, don't knacker it just to get some 'training' miles in next week.
Can't put any pressure on it at all at the moment. Never mind 110 miles - at the moment, I'm just hoping to make the presentation evening.
How bout treating this as a short taper for racing Folksworth flat out?
How about getting a medic to look at it?
I'm hardly desperate for a decent 15-mile PB, but it will probably end up being close to all-out anyway. Not a lot of difference between present 15-mile race pace and 26-mile target race pace, especially if you over-estimate your fitness, which I seem to be a lot of just lately.
Aim will be to feel comfortable and if that's somewhere close to 5:45 pace (in racing shoes), that would be nice and should get me near the front.
Foot getting better as today goes on so I'm hoping to be back running Thursday.
