Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Notes & Comments

Tactics well last night i put my recent 1mile and 5km times into various calculators to see what times they conjured up; anything between 1:49:36 and 2:07:34. Mmmmmm

On the day decided to try not let a gap grow between me and whatever group i was in if i gap appeared i would pick up pace to eliminate the gap or try to join the next group BUT without going to fast at the beginning. As i heard about the finish being uphill and needed to save something and as the beginning was virtually downhill , but the uphill though hard wasn't that bad. A few water stations 4 i think i stopped at the first 3 to take on water, ran past the last one as it wasn't far from the finish. I struggled a bit around 8 miles (a 9:29 mile omg)

avg pace 9:07 avg HR 158 (78%) maxes at 172 88% WHR

1:59:20 by my watch but its all chip timing so we shall see. So i have to be pleased with that, but again HR low by about 10 beats so if i can get that right, i'm sure i can go faster.

So who came the closest in my prediction? Jack Daniels and his VDOT tables closely followed by the running for fitness website (vo2 max) both on my mile time
