The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Stornoway half. Knew my Garmin was measuring short right from start, don't know why, just signal maybe. So I think paces slightly quicker than shown. Tried for 6:30s, knew was a bit off that from the start. Legs really tired going up the hills. Losing pace on hills, better on downhill and flat. Saw Lexo further up for quite a while, going strongly, but no way I could catch him. Into Castle grounds and steeper hills, even worse, really grinding to halt. Concentrated on Ferranti guy, one HBT (nice wee shout from him, but not MV40, so didn't matter). Lost to HBT guy on hills, he was going strongly. So tried to keep with him, which got me past the Feranti guy and the SRAC guy, both MV40s, so got me the places I needed (places not paces in this one!) Stretched out on flat, tarmac and downhills. Really struggling on last mile or two but managed to push pace on a bit chasing HBT guy. Didn't know where I'd finished. Son and GF there to cheer me, was brill, reckoned only 6 or 7 ahead of me, Ithought more. Turns out was 10th 1:27:19 (forgot to stop Garmin). Lexo first MV40, well done him, me 3rd MV40. Happy with that! :-)G
