Notes & Comments
James Herriot Country trail race, Castle Bolton. Cracking race again. For running in a lovely place, you can't beat it, and you can see my house from the course, jammy sod. This time, not so bad on the health front that I had to walk on the flats like last year, despite last nights poor showing at Lancaster. The remnants of my cold still there, and the lack of training miles left their mark towards the end, as I ran out of steam from 10k inwards. But up til then, had been going okay, especially on the downhills. The ups are a real son of a bitch on this course, and I'm not very good at them anyway. Didn't quite get my predicted time, but did manage to PB on this course, quite a lot quicker than last year, yet still leaving a bit of room for improvement next year. Lot's of Fetchies there, I'm starting to recognise some of them now.
