Not a day for fast times as conditions got worse as race went on. Heavy downpour and lots of runners.
Ran most of race solo just catching 30k runners when routes were the same and other marathon runners in last lap
Pain to left calf at around 20 miles that kept coming and going
Cramp to right hamstring at 24 miles. Stopped briefly stretched it and carried on with no problems
Won race by just under 5 minutes

Thanks it was very muddy and and it rained heavily about half way through to make it even more muddy. Finished first overall by about 5 mins I think (not checked results yet for timings but I am sure that’s what they said at the prize giving). Hardest marathon I have done legs are letting me know this afternoon. Work tonight should be interesting 🍹
