Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

northernrunner probably the toughest race iv done yet especially with the 3 mile hill but still managed to pass quite a few people climbing it and end up finishing 5th but missed out on a prize due to entering late

mikep Went off too fast again and quicky realised I had very little left in my legs after the fast 5 mile last week. This is a great event and the course is really tough - so much up hill and lots of mud. At least the two bursts of hail/rain kept me cool.
I will try and be a bit more fit for the hills next year.

swittle I ran this 6 years in succession, the last in 1993 and always took around 100 minutes. It's a glorious setting for a very challenging course and the 1.5 miles of off road is much longer than on the 'old' course. Managed to run all the way :) and even picked up speed in that last mad career down to the Showground. 5 minutes slower than my personal worst in 1991 - but that was 17 years ago, so I'm quite encouraged.

Saw one Fetchie at the start but was networking with a Harrogate AC runner about a mutual friend.

Well run, all who competed!

Lisrun This is a tough hilly half marathon, especially if its hot. My third time. *Update* Sunny, then cloudy, then rain, then sunny again. Bit of a wind but it kept us cool.
