Oscar's Everyone Day

23rd June 2024
In 2021 Oscar the Grouch proposed one day each year where "we unite as a community and EVERYONE records an activity of some sort - a dog walk, a run, a swim, a ride, ski if you want...".

Sadly we lost Oscar in March, so I'd like to dedicate Everyone Day to him. Thank you for the inspiration you gave us Oscar.

smash A cold, rainy run, out to Pyrmont and back. The start went across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which they'd closed just for us - what a buzz! Then the course went out to Iron Cove along the world's most boring dual carriageway - high screens on both sides to ensure no scenery! I struggled from about the 10k mark, but with an out and back course you may as well finish, cos it's a long walk back if you don't! I was dragged around the last 5k by a nice Aussie girl, without whom I could still be limping along! Overall a good result for me, got round as a result of determination rather thatn training - very pleased to get in under 2 and a half hours. Pegasus RC 2:04:53 2:25:30 2:45:00 2:25:30 44.31
