Lakes Never got into this race. Legs felt tired (remind me not to play cricket with my nephews the day before a race). Bit disappointed as I ran slower than last year and only marginally quicker than Sandy 10 in March.

Lycra Hurricane This was a pb (by over 3 mins), but it was difficult. I never felt comfortable, but I suppose the weather, the hills and the fact that I was pushing myself all the time contributed to this. For how long can the pbs continue? 'Official' time was 50:01, but they got the times out of sinc.

Nightjar Wahay - PB! Hot race and I started of too fast as usual - trying to keep up with one of the clubs top group coaches was not a good idea. Passed a guy walking at 9k and gave him a get going speech only to find him trying to pass me. Beat him across the line and boy was I gasping, but thanks for spuring me on mate! Official results have me in at 47:08 which seems odd, I didn't think I was that slow on the button. Have to check the data.

No.8 ™ Won my first prize money!! :0) Second scorer, as Bedford Harriers won the team prize - £10 each! Tough race, but PB'b by 47 secs, finished 5th overall and second in club champs.
