MadJonny Excellent run - 27 mins quicker than last year and only 8 mins off a PB. I expected to finish in around 2-10, as fitness level is better than last year. After slowish first mile, managed to get to 9 min mile pace by 5 miles, then upped the pace down the hill and on the flat. By the time I had got up the two hills at 8 and 11 miles, I was still still on for sub 2hrs. Managed to up the pace in the last mile to finish much quicker than expected. The weather made for perfect running conditions and the marshals and spectators were very encouraging.
