Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Big Al Widepants I thought last year was windy. Hurricane Katrina in our faces for the last 4 miles. The cross wind for the first 3 was a bit of an eye-waterer. The tail wind was so strong between 3 and 6 that you felt you were getting blown off your feet and so you couldn't really take advantage properly. Still, got my PB. Little bit disappointed I didn't get under 1.40. But that's a 10 min improvement on last year's race in even windier conditions with a bit of a hangover. Got to be pleased. Met up with Tigger, Haggis and Phantom. Nice to see you guys.

Debstir Really pleased with my (watch) time. Great race, fab scenery, hellish wind! At least the rain went off. Settled in to a sub-9 min/mile pace and felt ok, started to struggle with the wind about 10m or so when it was hitting us from the left. The last 2 miles were torture! My garmin said I was still doing sub 10m/m pace but it certainly didn't feel it! This marathon training malarky must be paying off - 3 minutes faster then last year, and a 10k PB last weekend. 2 races in 2 weeks and Tunnocks Caramel Wafers in both goody bags - these race organisers certainly know how to keep me happy :-D

Ultracat Looking forward to this race. Using it as a training run for Stockholm Marathon so will probably not go for a PB. Well I would call this race character building, it was very, very windy and a few cooling showers which were bordering on hailstones. last 3 miles were straight into a very strong headwind which stopped you in your tracks a few times. Loch Leven and the surrounding countryside were very scenic,if you could see through the mist.
