Frostbite Friendly League Ramsey

paulhalford Fifth place. Might have started off too slowly and this could have cost me third place. Took one minute out of the runner two places behind over the last mile approximately! Only just started speedwork for the winter so I'm confident I will improve considerably over the next six weeks of the hardest training I have ever done.

Marts this may be longer than 5 miles cos this race (ramsey) usually is and off road too. good race though but DO NOT BET Well chuffed this went very very well. Most people went off vv fast and was about 35th-40th after 1st mile. worked thorugh well and steadily to 28th at 2miles and 20th at 3 miles then started to get excited/scared about 1st ever top 20 finish. Decided 'no-one comes past now' and picked up 2 more places in mile 4 before final push to make up one more place in the last half mile. Best ever frostbite finish of 17th of 395. Good work out for next week. Was 5.2miles and passed 5 mile marker in 30:07 which felt good for multi terrain race. Think saw Lyra O'K and waved as was doing 2nd lap for warm down but not sure she saw or recognised me.
