67 here too ,though that just mean when I can claim state pension.

I think I could retire now.... I spoke to a woman at the weekend who retired when she was 34.

Just been reading a very interesting article on living as a recluse, or making the best use of being single . The comments about sex were very interesting. psychologytoday.com

I dare not look at that calculator. I fear I'll be working til I croak too.

ION I was out on the town last night. Made it to the last train but the drinking pace was brutal. Barely slept at my friends so got up early and came through to Inverness to do some shopping and collect car. Bored of shopping already so having bacon butty in favourite cafe.

Brutal drinking pace eh? Sounds like a night out with my Fife cousins.

There's nothing better than getting pissed off with shopping and finding a favourite cafe to scoff and hide in ... not to mention lovely coffee.

I went to see my friend's band with some friends. Introduced a pal to the singer and she's a wee bit smitten.

We came upon this wee cafe on our house hunting trip. Been back a couple of times so made a beeline for it today. The sign said closed but as I walked past but the waitress was making her way to the door so I waited and she was just opening up. So relieved :) Big bacon butty and tea for £3.60 - beats the hell out of costa/starbucks and good service too.

Brutal drinking pace sounds like a night out with work mates.

Had bacon butty, post Parkrun, with as much coffee as I wanted. This was at the nearby golf club.

Off to see Mum later.

I had coffee and croissants at home :) I can grind my beans how I like them, at a fraction of the price of shop bought/coffee shop and much better quality. Besides, the nearest Costa is 10 miles away :) Home made jam on the fresh croissants, yum!

Now I have to drum up the courage to go for an ickle bike ride. I have put flat pedals on the MTB, as I can't clip in or unclip with the dodgy knee, and the plan is to try a little potter...

Do I do my chores first though? Dishes, clean bathroom, change bedding, hoover? AM is due here by 3 pm the latest, to go and see this house up the road...

If the weathers good, go now. Chores can wait.
