Rach E
Hi Dowse. Saw your message on the tri thread and came to find this. I Zwift and have done for over a year now. I absolutely love it although (ironically) as someone who used to not be able to stay off the trainer, I find only about 20% of my bike training time is done on Zwift.

I use a Wahoo Kickr Snap and tend to do about four rides a week on Zwift, including one of the programmed training sessions and a race (I'm in the KISS RT on there).

Hi Rach E! I'm pretty new to Zwift (and bikes in general). Sounds like you're a bit of a pro.

I've got home tonight with the intention of joining an easy sub 2.0 ride only to find my turbo wheel had a puncture :-0 missed the ride, but thought sod it, I'll give the sub 3.0 a go. Currently a sweaty mess, finished about 4 minutes behind the pack. I don't know how these people can maintain that level, I thought my fitness was relatively good, but I just can't keep up no matter what I try. Practice makes perfect ay.

I did about half of my training on Zwift last year in a build up for a couple of the spring classic sportives. Great way to relieve the boredom of indoor training and the structured training is pretty good too.

Not doing so much on the bike right now, but I do enjoy a blast up the virtual alp every now and then.

Are those sub 2.0 / 3.0 rides referring to watts/kg?

Featuring on GCN is definitely pro!

I believe the sub 2.0/3.0 rides are referring to watts/kg and frustratingly I sit somewhere in the middle which means I get dropped from the sub 3.0 group and once you're dropped it's impossible to get back on. Although I seem to massively gain ground on the hills happily outputting 3.5 watts/kg, but can't keep up on the flat as I just can't reach 190 watts comfortably.

Brought this back to the front having now seen the GCN report mentioned above

Think it,s fair to point out that not only is RachE a champion in cycling in real life she is now the Zwift womens virtual World Champion, bonkers beyond belief that thousands competed in mens and womens vrtual world but the pedals have to be pushed and all these peeps did so and Rach won.

Many congratulations.

It was quite satisfying to read on a link from another site about all the grumpy MAMILs getting their Lycra in a twist because some cheating bastard was posing as a woman and beating them at Zwift, but it turned out that it was RachE :)

Truly impressive by Rach.

I was pootling along in Zwift Sunday and Ed Bradbury roared past at 5+ w/kg.

Group rides are surprising, they seem at least 0.5 w/kg harder than advertised, usually fall apart pretty early so I'm still getting a feel for them.
