Wow some great posts today, and I've had a school day learning about the different types and crests  Quite a few post boxes in a 12km run, nearly 1 per km. Only EIIRs nearby as my town was only built about 40 years ago. Went a bit further afield to see what there was, managed to find 4 GRs; 2 of which were much closer to home than I expected as the next village over must be older than I thought, and 1 of which was a lawn ornament; I wonder if it's a replica or a retired real one. Also what I think is a postbox themed bird box in a fab garden of odds and ends (where I also saw the flower pot bras earlier in the thread!) Georgie Liz |

I am so chuffed with all the postboxes! As alluded to by ishep, I am a bit of a postbox nerd... I don't know a great deal about them, but I entered a photo competition and won years back that included taking pictures of post boxes and I developed a love for spotting unusual ones... got a bit of a name for myself among friends and family! So much so, if anyone sees a slightly unusual one now, they will snap it and send it to me! Its the same with phone boxes! I am an odd creature! Unfortunately my only available postbox on yesterdays run was this rather uninspiring one: And then I forgot to post it due to having a rather sore foot Not sure what I've done, but my right metatarsals are really, really not happy with me
