Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We have a labradoodle at our training class who regularly goes along the line of treats eating those belonging to all dogs when we are doing the LEAVE IT exercise!!

Wanda forgot her manners yesterday when another dog walker in the village (who used to own Staffies but now has a lurcher) asked if he could give her a treat. She politely took it but then dropped it on the floor, so his dog moved in to pick it up at which point Wanda growled at him (the dog) and ate it.....I thought she had grown out of such toddler behaviour as in I don't really want this, unless you want it, in which case you can't have it..... (sigh)

I can see Wanda’s point though - ‘maybe I don’t want that right now, but it’s still mine and I might want it later, so no you can’t just take it.’

Possibly that reveals something about my own toddler behaviour :-)

I don't know if dogs ever lose the 'dog in a manger' streak, it just depends how assertive they are as to whether they demonstrate it.

Sorry its taken me so long to post this, here is Indi in his towelling dog drying robe. Its really lovely after a long wet walk to put him in this for the journey home in the car, in summer you can wet it to keep a hot dog cool too!

He is so used to having his photo taken I don't have to ask him to pose these days! :)
