Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hi Kwala! Glad you are loving your running, what's wrong with your knee? My toe is still sore after wearing my trail shoes at the weekend, I really need to get some that fit right.

Great Kwala, I hope your knee holds out!

It occurred to me this morning that I ran my first marathon exactly a year after my first half (both were on Valentine's Day). Given how long it took me to build up to running 13.1 miles, I really have surprised myself by doubling that in a year.

My knees ache this morning.

Lemon - I have arthritis, but have found my knee definitely feels worse when I do nothing than when I am exercising. I have done a lot of work with a PT on building up my leg muscles so hopefully it will hold out. Last time I had physio the instructions regarding exercise were, if it doesn't hurt keep doing it, if it hurts stop - quite obvious really, but I had been using the knee as an excuse to do nothing for a long time!!
s time!!
Fragile, great achievement, I really would love to get a marathon under my belt one day, for now I'm just aiming to do my local parkrun in a couple of months time.

Fantastic medal Frag! If only your knees ache this morning that's great. :)

Kwala, nice to see you back, I hope the knee holds out - slow and steady's the way to go. :)

I went to circuits this evening, the first time since last November! Halfway through I started feeling a bit dizzy and remembered I'd been to blood donors yesterday so reeled it in a bit after that. ;-)

I'd quite like to buy a medal hanger but they seem quite expensive, does anyone know a site where I can buy one at a reasonable price please?

I was given mine as a gift from the lovely DQ :-) I also bought a rack from Primark a couple of years ago, it is supposed to be for scarves but it works a treat for my medals and was about £4

I really don't like the look if those proper medal hangers so I bought a necklace hanger from this Etsy seller.

etsy.com

I've also bought a thing with hooks on from The Range for when the current one fills up...

I think I'd prefer the real thing, I already have a scarf hanger. ;-) The ones I've seen on-line seem to start at about 20 or 30 quid but I'm sure there's cheaper ones out there.
