Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Big group of LTTs on the feeder yesterday and a nuthatch on the peanuts today (upside down).

Dipper singing on the river.

Still not managed to bump into any waxwings though.

Saw two flocks of pied wagtails flying towards our town hall. Probably 60-80 in total. They roost in one of the trees there, like very cute Christmas decorations!

An owl flew over the road right in front of the car this evening, which made me jump. It was quite pale, so a barn owl I guess.

Some great spots on here, particularly jealous of the LTT. Most of mine are nearly spots recently. Loads of great birds in the area. Saw loads of thrush type birds fairly local to home. Would love a decent pair of binoculars, but unfortunately mine only allow confirmation of close spots. Anyway, really pleased that I did get a great view of a redwing, have to keep trying with some of the others.

Tomorrow's run is going to involve the Brickwork Pond in Rhyl as there have been confirmed waxwing sightings today, it looks like they're spreading out now to other good berry sites, so keeping eyes peeled everywhere
