Norway is first country in world to have more electric vehicles than ICE powered. Yay! https://www.france24.news/en/2021/01/le-matin-norway-first-country-in-the-world-to-exceed-50-of-electric-cars-sold.html#:~:text=Covid%2D19-,Le%20Matin%20%E2%80%93%20Norway%20first%20country%20in%20the%20world%20to,50%25%20of%20electric%20cars%20sold&text=Norway%20became%20in%202020%20the,specialized%20organization%20published%20on%20Tuesday. |

More electric vehicles registered than ICE last year, but it does look as if they're fast moving towards having more electric than ICE on the roads which would be great!

I'd just like to say that I was scoffed at when I said almost all new UK cars would be electric by 2030.

That's a really positive story. I hope the UK can follow suit (Norway was 1% EVs 10 years ago). Also keep an eye on these guys - Trojan Energy from my home town of Stonehaven, developing clutter-free electric on street charging points and trialling in Camden & Brent. trojanenergyltd.com |

If you hadn't spotted it too, here's the coal transition laid starkly clear: From 0 coal free hours in 2015 to 59% coal free in 2020: mygridgb.co.uk The carbon intensity tracker is also interesting: mygridgb.co.uk And best of all, there's a new gas tracker which will also show that I was right about the gas death spiral in about 3-4 years time. mygridgb.co.uk |

Looks like a steady decline in gas to me Fozzy 😉. Lot of positives in the links and fingers crossed If the US senate goes Democrats that will have a huge impact over the impact on Energy Transition during the next 5 years. That may also then encourage China to continue along the better path (I wait patiently for news on the detail from them on how they will deliver their promise). |
