Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

After my ultra on Sat, I'll be back on this or at least 6:1, just to get a bit leaner again! When I did this previously, I found a half veg stock tab in hot water worked well too, as well as massive spinach salads with a bit of tuna or something through it

I'm on a sort of 6.5:0.5. I come to work once a week with no lunch, but still have a banana, a satsuma and an apple during the day (and maybe a biscuit if someone's brought some in!)

I know everyone else has probably moved on but I just started. I weighed a shocking 11st 5lb on Sunday. At 5ft7 I have a BMI of 26.4 which is almost overweight. Just because I can waddle round a 10k in under an hour doesn't make me fit. So I read the book on Sunday afternoon and started on Monday. Monday and Wednesday are my fast days. So I can't wait for breakfast tomorrow. So far so good. Especially at work. I agree with Mosley that one of the biggest reliefs of fasting can be the simplicity. So much food at work yesterday, chocolates, cake, toast, flapjacks. But it was my fast day so I couldn't have any and that was that! On a conventional diet I would have had something. Anyway I will keep you posted with progress once I get a new battery for the scales.

Well the first two days are over for this week and so far so good! I have new batteries for the scales so not long to go to find out if it made any difference. Only one small wibble with the dreaded feelings of "hanger" yessterday!

I've just started back on this after having a baby. Interested to see what happens. Tried it after my last baby but combined with sleep deprivation I dropped out. I've got a 10k in August to train for and dropping a few pounds would definitely help!

I started again this week. Lost 5 lbs. If I lose another 2 next week, I can go back to eating again (and then 5:2 again in a few weeks :-) )
