Aye, when I was commuting it in 45mins it was early morning and a bit before AWPR. An hour is probably best.

Ran the trial for Montrose last Saturday, cracking course if you want a fast time, very flat. Few rabbit holes about and an exposed bit on the airfield on way out/back which could be a nightmare if windy but its definitely a good one :)

Montrose parkrun have posted the following on Facebook :
"It's almost time! The Montrose parkrun team are very excited to have our inaugural event tomorrow 😄. However please remember that we are a new team and are still getting used to using the equipment. Please may we request that you consider attending in later weeks, especially if a ‘parkrun tourist’, so as not to potentially overwhelm us. Don't get us wrong, we will be very happy to see you if you do come along tomorrow but just remember that we'll be here every Saturday for ever more (hopefully!) so plenty time for a visit!"

You could play the "I'm an experienced parkrunner volunteer so going to Montrose just in case they need some extra help tomorrow" card if it makes you feel better, Maz.

We were personally invited by one of the Montrose team so I won't feel guilty! Don't feel guilty Maz.

There are 31 regular parkruns in Scotland which are held every Saturday at 9:30am.

Current locations are Aberdeen, Alness, Aviemore, Ayr, Camperdown, Drumchapel, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Eglinton, Elgin, Ellon, Falkirk, Ganavan Sands, Greenock, Hazelhead, Inverness, Kirkcaldy, Linwood, Livingston, Montrose, Perth, Pollok, Portobello, Ruchill, Springburn, St Andrews, Stonehaven, Strathclyde, Tollcross, Victoria and Vogrie.
