Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think you may have spotted the cunning plan, Fergus. Whilst there is a P&R near to the finish, assuming that biggish numbers are expected, the main parking might be at Forthside/Springkerse (Stirling 10K start/finish area. Therefore finishers and supporters will need to cross the city to get back to their cars (or to the railway/bus stations).

My parents lived in Musselburgh (Hercus Loan) when they first got married so I could have been born there; so please be nice about it :-)

I think the idea of the streets of Stirling being full of tired but happy marathon runners having a(responsible) drink in the sun after their exertions sounds like a great idea and something I'd like to be a part of

You've made me think of something, AC: with a bit of marketing this could be just the event to attract foreign runners, most particularly those of the colonial diaspora. I'm almost being tempted. Well, tempted to go and support anyway pint ;-).

Dvorak - They've already coined the phrase "#COMEHOMETORUN" on the website, presumably with an eye on the American Dollars!

I'm trying to remind them that marathons are hard, and early in the year marathons mean a lot of winter training....

A lot of excitement amoung the WCH as well. Just like EMF was at the beginning before we all fell out of love with it with no water, poor transport and foxes eating the cables on the big screen TV
